| About Us - Company History | | The company was founded by Mr.R.W.Griffiths in 1940, with its head office in Talbot Yard (hence the name), just off Borough High Street, Southwark, London.
The manufacturing of the jig bushes took place in premises on nearby Southwark Bridge Road, under the control of Mr.G.A.Bennett.
Within 2 years however, concentrated air bombardment necessitated the move of manufacturing to a calmer
location in Brighton. This enabled uninterrupted production of jig bushes & tooling parts for the Ministry of Aircraft Production. Due to increasing sales after the war, larger premises were required,
so in 1946 the head office
transferred to Roedale Road, Brighton. Talbot Yard however remained open as our sales office.
